Hi there, I’m Juliana

After spending a decade in the beautiful Austin hill country, I am back in the Houston area, my homebase. I was privileged by those who allowed me to join their mental health journey — ranging from all walks of life in a variety of backgrounds over the last ten years. I became a fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in June 2022 and captivated my passions in evolving into a ‘Relational Therapist.’ Human connection is vital to who we are, as interpersonal relationships and emotions create our identity. Through meaningful, authentic, and emotionally attuned connections, you can begin to heal the psychological wounds that prevent all you are capable to be.

I help adults in learning how complex traumatic experiences have shaped and altered their lives, and how to begin healing. If you suffer from C-PTSD, you likely experience emotional dysregulation, negative self-perception, and avoidance to painful memories, people, and places (to name a few). This drives us further away from our innate sense of belonging. I help my clients create their blueprint of an ideal future by repairing the wounded past, learning dysfunctional patterns, and exploring attachment traumas.

In our time together, we will collaborate often because it’s important I not only understand you, I hear you. You are the expert on your life and nobody knows your story better than you. Knowing your past is a gift, one I value greatly — as it’s the foundation upon which we were built and meant to grow, not sentenced to stay ‘stuck’. Our trusted relationship with one another begins to heal these emotional wounds caused by traumas — releasing what is no longer serving you, regaining your empowerment, and redefining your identity. It is a pure joy to experience the wins with you in this life, therapy does not have to be “about the bad.” All parts of you are welcome, as I will always be rooting for you.

Some therapeutic orientations I practice from are the Humanistic, Psychoanalytic, Cognitive, and Behavioral approaches — larger ‘umbrella terms’ to target more specific interventions, or modalities. I am also specialty trained and actively practice Brainspotting (BSP), a highly effective trauma treatment therapy that borrows from the healing powers of Somatic Experiencing and EMDR to reprocess traumatic memories.

As each of these skill sets is unique, so are you. I tailor my approach on what you need from me - ranging from more guided and directive, or free association hands off. You are always driving this car, I’m just here to help you navigate.

Vulnerability can feel ominous, we typically shy away from it — subconsciously protecting ourselves. My hope is that by creating a space and personalized pace — the most authentic version of you can be present and unapologetically heard. The uncomfortable begins to become comfortable. I am here to support you from beginning to end and all the in between. I believe our ability to stabilize, recover, and evolve into who we want to become is always possible, it is never “too late.” Therapy takes immense courage at any stage, so whether you’re a ‘seasoned client’ or it’s your first time — be proud you took this step.

Your past does not define you, the future is unknown, all we can try to control is the present.
